personal opinion i prefer bob martin. i find it excellent xXx

My vet now recommends 'Stronghold' instead of 'Frontline' as it also controls worms (much easier than tablets!)

Good luck. Jacqui

Many thanks to you both
Our cat got fleas and first we used Bob Martin to no effect - now it's Frontline all the way!
Frontline's the only thing that works with our moggies, they breed the fleas tough round here.

Frontline spot on only used to be available from vets but you can buy it now without a prescription, but it is still stronger than Bob Martins. Frontline spray is still prescription only.

Proprietary treatment like Bob Martins and Johnsons that are available in pet shops do tend to be less effective, I suppose because people can buy them without any advice or knowledge and they don't want people to overdose them.

Many thanks - maybe we will stick with Frontline
Just to warn you that we once treated our 2 cats with Bob Martins - one was absolutely fine but the other suffered a major allergic reaction. He was in the cat hospital for 2 days and had to be put on a sort of catty Valium as he was having fits. He did make a full recovery but it was very worrying - he lost a lot of weight and was still a bit wobbly for nearly a week! We now use Frontline or Strongline from the vets.
Or even 'Stronghold!'
Another warning - NEVER use the dog spot on for cats - it can cause fits and even death and don't ever use it if it is out of date.
