What is the panic over bird flu.

1 swan in Scotland and the whole country is panicking, has edwina Currie been put in charge of this, or what?

Bird flu is only a risk if you are working very close to the infected birds and are breathing in the infected birds air (breath)

Cook all chickens and eggs well (as you are supposed too) and no harm will come to you

I work in the poultry industry, and I am not worried, so why should you be!

Why would people worry about eating chicken? Surely there is no risk whatsoever if the bird is cooked. Most of our chickens anyway come from those horrible battery sheds and never see the light of day so are at no risk from bird flu.
