Hummingbird Feeders In Ecuador

I know most people who are interested find this kind of thing on Youtube themselves but just in case have posted this as I find it such a lovely way to spend a few minutes watching. These birds are just stunning

A few years ago, when on holiday, we saw a couple of hummingbirds feeding. It was fascinating watching them.

Nice post. They're getting a drink of water aren't they Prudie? Never seen those in this country but in Ecuador they're probably a necessity.
I do keep two water sources topped up for the birds in my garden.

Of course they are 6 hours behind us so still early morning in Ecuador. When I was watching last night there must have been at least 20 birds, such colours. It's not plain water It's sweetened to be like nectar.

Dragonflies are stunning but I rarely see one. A couple of years back my daughter and I saw one on our roof terrace. Beautiful. Off to look up The British Dragonfly Society.

those are nice, but it's sort of like a milk bar, isn't it, everything laid on. The amazing thing for me is seeing them feeding on the wing, their wings flapping so fast you can barely make them out.
