They're lovely, it's a real joy when you manage to snap them - we had a regular visit from one for a while. Was so close and vibrant.

We’ve seen this one three days running. Girl took the photos, he was quite a way away.
Lovely photos, Sherr and well done the girl! Haven't seen one for ages. Such a beautiful bird.
Good capture of a subject which I found impossible to achieve - well done and thank you for publishing it.
Gorgeous little bird!.
Lovely photos.
Thank you, Sherrardk. Lovely photos.

I remember conducting a footpath-user survey on the edge of Canterbury some years back. The survey point was right next to a river, where a pair of kingfishers were present, diving in and out of the water, all day long, just a few metres away from us. It certainly made the job of standing there for 12 hours a lot more pleasant than it might otherwise have been!

[With my seals and your kingfishers, we could create the AB Wildlife Photography Club!]
How lovely, well done girl.
Great pics, My brother has installed a nesting box in the nearby beck.
