Astronaut Cat ...

I know that grooming a bad-tempered longhaired cat can be dangerous. But this lad was in a bit of a state. Firstly she trims his death daggers on his murder mittens just to ensure that the groomer comes out of the session alive.

I don't even need to watch it...just look at that angry moggie!

Halfway through she puts a special astronaut helmet on his head and she manages to groom him with minimal moans from the cat.

It can take me a fortnight just to catch one of my cats to put flea treatment on the back of its neck (which only takes a second or so). The chances of keeping any of them still for an hour and a half are absolutely zero!

Love the helmet, I dont think any of ours would put up with an hour andca half of grooming.....and nor would I!

I had to have caspar departed a few years ago. He had very fine, semi long fur and would get matted every summer. I was usually able to brush/tease them out. The last time it was too much...so it was off to the vets.
I'm surprised she's able to do him awake. Caspar was anesthetized...and his fur was much better than this boys. He was also just a dopey cat and put up with anything.

It wasn't a stray tilly, apparently the owner couldn't cope with its long fur and drove over two miles to get to the lady who groomed him !

I know, apparently it was the nearest place ! Don't know why the owners couldn't at least brush him ...

A lot if cats really dislike being brushed so it's little and often...you've got to sneek up on the little devils.

The lady who owns the salon said that the cat had travelled over two hours in the car to get to her grooming salon. His humans obviously loved him loads to do journey with him.

She didn't touch on how the cat got into that state but asked that people not post any negative or judgmental commons on YT.

Our Vet tried to muzzle Princess Merlin a few times but Merlin was not in a great mood and wanted to kill the Vet.

That cat was so well behaved I truly don’t know what she was on about - yes his coat was pretty shocking but he didn’t scream or really go for her - I was expecting her to be wearing gauntlets !!
