I did scroll down CB but not far enough, it seems.
She died quite young, Uncle Google says that the usual lifespan is 35-40 years.

It looks like she had a good life for one orphaned so young.

I like Gorillas, they could tear your head off but they are peaceful animals. Chimps are evil animals once they become adults, they look cute as babies.
Understood, I found the photo very moving, she had some dignity in death - that isn't afforded to all.
Oh bless her, that picture made me cry. So few gorillas left in the wild, her death is a tragedy. That's a worthwhile job I would have loved, caring for these wonderful creatures.
