I saw this story with accompanying picture. Apparently a lightning strike killed 18 elephants at once. In the picture it doesn't look like there's any fire damage of any description. It sounds unbelievable to me. Any thoughts?

BS
Sometimes I even find myself agreeing with TTT.
This is one of those times.

BS indeed.
If there was no evidence that the elephants had been shot, how else do you think that they died?
//Perhaps the most heartbreaking example of a single bolt's devastating impact on animals took place in Norway back in 2016. More than 300 reindeer were found dead on a mountain plateau. Again, just one bolt of lightning — and a powerful ground current that swept the whole herd in its shocking embrace.//

Were they really all bulls?
Obviously they were all cows. Wee bulls wobble but they don't fall down.
