We are watching the most wonderful moon halo we have ever seen. It's just stunning.

Will you see it where you are? I don't know but it's worth going outside to look.

It's crystal clear here and sadly just a plain half-moon, no halo at all, no haze I suppose.

That's a shame, Prudie. Think most of the village is now out staring upwards. I've never seen one at all. Dave has but not as good as this one.
Take a picture and post it here ?
Despite the BBC Weather website not showing any cloud cover here at the moment, there must be just a little, as there's a little bit of a halo around the moon. However it's nothing special - and certainly not in the same class as this:

Yes!
Thanks for sharing
Here in Pembrokeshire there is an enormous white halo tinged slightly red

but it doesn't compete with your Manitoba model Buenchico!

That's a cracker, Chris, no colours here in the Dark Sky Reserve.

Glad you saw it, Haras.....just beautiful to see.
Awe inspiring - never seen anything like it.

It's the sheer size - like a hole taking up half the sky with the moon at the centre.
Two great photos there. Didn't you once live in Manitoba, Gnes?
I noticed one a few weeks ago here in Norfolk, spectacular.

Hi, Sanmac. No, I lived in Calgary.

Let us know if you see another, Zebo...just in case we can see it here.
Oops, wrong Province:) Take a look at the sunset a Rick's Cafe in Negril...It gets better the close the sun is to the horizon: https://www.earthcam.com/world/jamaica/negril/?cam=rickscafe

Thanks, Sanmac....beautiful. Love the sunsets we get here over the mountains....especially sitting on the patio with a glass..... :-)
Can I just envisage what it looks like and not get out of my chair ?
^^^ That's why Gness has provided a photo, Dot ;-)
