She will need to learn to hand strip....go and have a look on youtube for videos and then she will know if she can do it and what tools to get.
TTT your OP asked for recommendations for electric clippers so don't understand your reply.
Question Author
I saw that but we just want to trim the fur off.

Tony I was just letting you know we have tried all human devices and they don't work.
Maybe grooming service then if you can't do it yourselves at home. Whether any are doing home visits at the moment is another thing.

doubt you will get any dog grooming people out not with this virus raging.
There are clippers reviewed here.

Dog and human hair are different and human clippers are a lot louder than ones for a dog.
There are YouTube tutorials on how to groom wirehaired Jack Russels...have you looked at them? Apparently just trimming doesn't get rid of dead fur.
Question Author
ok thanks all, I have bought some, lets see what they are like.
We'll need to see the before and after pictures.
Question Author
ok I'll do that.
We bought some electric dog clippers during the first lockdown last year and they were very successful on our cockapoo. They cost just less than £100.
Our dog groomer is open, as are all I believe, during this lockdown, our dog has an appointment with her in two weeks.
A hint...get a tube of cream cheese and let your dog lick the bit where the cheese comes out whilst you’re using the clippers on it. Don’t squeeze much out, in fact very, very little, just enough to keep dog interested. It takes dog’s mind of what’s going on with the clippers.
