This was on TV a couple of weeks ago but I've only just caught up with it. I found it really interesting and hope that all the things proposed in the programme actually happen. I was surprised that there was no mention of that other big threat to bees, the Verroa mite. In recent years that has decimated bee colonies, so whilst an agricultural based initiative is really good, it won't help if there can be no controlling the Verroa mite. A surprising omission, I thought.

There was a thread on it at the time. You may have missed it.

Thanks pasta. I actually posted in that thread. I didn't watch the second part because I thought it was a repeat of the first programme, so I've missed it now. If anybody watched it, did they mention the Verroa mite? I can't imagine a programme on this subject failed to cover it.
Hi Clarion, your luck's in. Episode 2 is still on here for 14 days.

Thanks LB but if I want to watch, I'd have to sign up. That's one thing I don't do. I'll just have to see if it's going to be repeated.
Clarion I don't like signing up to stuff either but I did for Ch4. It is fine, they have never ever contacted me since I joined and that was years ago. I use it only occasionally but if them pestering you is a concern, they don't.
