Horse racing is plain nasty. There are horses who will do dressage moves without force or cruelty. I have been privileged to be carried by two of them. I won't say I rode them, their attitude was very much "sit still and leave it to me" They were both retired mid level competitors, enjoying their retirement as schoolmasters, one had been an eventer, the other did dressage only. Both of them were absolutely capable of putting a novice rider in her place, the dressage mare had a habit of swinging around and biting the bum of a rider as they dismounted!
Awww... that's sad, wolf x
It's more cruel to prevent a racehorse racing ... have you seen how they get, when they know they are going?
Wrapping up in cotton wool, is not always kind, when it goes against their nature.
but if we didn't have racehorsing, there wouldn't be racehorses
No.... I agree it can be dangerous- and I don't think that anyone in the world wants to see a racehorse injured. However, it is in their blood, they have been bred and trained for it over thousands of years. And they love it. Keeping them in a stable would make humans feel better, possibly. But sometimes, mental health is just as important, even for animals.
some breeds of dog are bred to dogfight, so should we allow that too?
nobody is saying they should be kept in a stable. Its called "the bloodstock industry" and that says it all.

you should look into what happens to those horses who aren't good enough or who can't race anymore
I thought I had seen the moves @4:04 before.

Has the horse plagiarised Will's moves or has Will plagiarised the horse's moves?

17:47 bless you, lol - what the hell is all that about??
I know that, woof... but there is no suggestion that all horse people are abusers. Different subjects.
Dog fights are designed to harm at least one animal. They don't compare.
I'm waiting pixie.
Carry on... :-) lol.
Too much of a coward to explain eh ??
Oh I forgot, lol
I suppose I should be grateful you don't put those stupid little kisses on any more, lol
Lol. Yes, name calling on an anonymous site is very heroic. Very brave.

Ok, rollkur makes it "even more barbaric". Is that how you think they are training them?
You know something pixie, I think there is something wrong with you! You started this with your ridiculous 'bless' comment which you wouldn't explain. And if I think the rollkur is barbaric, then that is MY opinion and I am entitled to it without any sarcasm from YOU!! Now your latest comment is even dafter. Make daft comments to me and I WILL answer back. LOL.

Sadly, I have to go now, so you will probably have the last word. It will probably make you feel good anyway. LOL.
It does. Take care xx
" know that, woof... but there is no suggestion that all horse people are abusers. Different subjects" Did I say that? I said that horseracing is nasty.
"Dog fights are designed to harm at least one animal. They don't compare."
Animals are bred deliberately to do something that puts them at risk with no thought or care for the consequences except to make money. When they can no longer race or if they don't make the grade then the vast majority are disposed of without thought. Yes while they are winning and making money then they are taken care of.
