I'm going to take my cat for vacations tomorrow, I'm just worried about getting her into the cat carrier, I know it's going to be difficult and she'll hate me.... I've been putting pieces of food in the carrier to try to get her used to it and she does hop in but I never closed the door behind her..How did you manage?

Wrapped her in a cat blanket to put her in, then unwrapped it and shut the door quickly. Then ignored the protests all the way to the vet. Had to make sure she didn't see the basket though, or she'd hide! As soon as your cat gets back home, all will be forgotten. She won't hate you because she's a cat, not a person.
My current cat...I've had many...just goes in with a bit of a push on his bum. Not all cats protest.
I stand the carrier on back end and pop the cat in back feet first and close the door
Put the carrier in another room so she doesn't see it. You must put her in backwards, don't let her see what you are going to do. Don't forget to put a nice soft blanket in it for her. Good luck.
It's nice to see that you take your cat on 'vacation'.!
Put a towel down for her to sleep on tonight and put that in the carrier with her tomorrow, should make her feel a bit more settled as is will have her scent on it.
My cats have never been bothered about the cat carrier.
We do the same as calmck. You wont be letting the cat out of your holiday accommodation, will you?
Trick her to make her to get inside the cat carrier. Like hiding it.
