Hey peeps. So basically our 4 year old dog's favorite meal is chocolate. He eats it at least 3 times a day since he was a pup and even knows where the cocolate tin is to bang his pore on when he is feeling hungry. Anyway as i have been vegan 2 years now then i have tried transitioning him to vegan chocolate but he just doesnt eat it. All the other vegan burgers etc he loves but its just the chocolate. He eats everything to be honest but just not this. What other treats can i give him that we can share? For example This Christmas we had tofurkey which he devoured immediately but when I brought out the vegan chocolate cake he turned his nose up and had to give him the usual quality streets. Anyway any advice for treats please as I am struggling to find the ingrediant he doesnt like or just being difficult so he can get the good normal chocolate?

If you really had a dog eating habit, you'd have eaten the dog by now, and no longer have an issue.

Oh my God, I think you are serious!! you need to let your dog go to someone else, as you can see by my avatar I am a dog lover. People like you make me sick, imposing your own stupid ideas onto your dog, you get a dog without even doing some basic research into its requirements! you are cruel and abusive!!! Im sorry but you are sick in the head!!
Dogs can be vegan but it is exspensive and not quite natural
spathiphyllum, not quite natural!! it is bloody cruel!!!
Save yourself the expense of a trip to the vet for advice and try this ..

Ratter, some people are so single minded, wrapped up in their own ideals they loose sight of the requirements of other people and animals..

'Tis sad.
1ozzy, I agree, these retards need locking up, AMIMAL LOVER MY A$$ just full of their own self importance!!
This post is a joke yes??
Smow, I'm in two minds, I really don't think people are this thick in this day and age, but who knows?
As I posted earlier, if you want a vegan pet get a budgie.

Apparently there is a rather cute approx 50 year old (single) singing budgie living up there.

Her name is Kylie.

Not sure she is vegan though ;-/
give the poor thang a wokko
you cruel beast !
Funny that you've had a dog for four years but you don't know how to spell 'paw'.
// Dogs can be vegan but it is exspensive and not quite natural//
erm like humans they are omnivores
and can subsist on a vegan diet
they just eat what the humans do without the spice

thiing is - veggies have to ear more to get the same protein which is why they look so thin and eat like horses
well thank god for that
I thought it would be a dog soup
viet menu things
This has to be a wind up but incase it is not here goes.
I don't have an issue with the vegan diet as I have seen it work with dogs with severe allergies, but the chocolate is dangerous and your are killing your dog!
This post is a wind up, no one could be this stupid. Feeding chocolate to a dog and trying to turn it vegan is going to push a lot of people’s buttons. Well done UKanonymous you’ve raised a few people’s blood pressure this morning.
My daughter is vegan and feeds her two rescued Malamutes meat. She strongly believes it would be cruel and abusive not to.
Never feed your dog chocolate unless it is meant for dogs. Acutally I used to pinch my dog's Good Boy choccie drops when I was a kid - I liked them :)
And I thought the thread was about the Korean diet.
Misread the title too - 'Dog Eats Bilbo Baggins....'
perhaps you should encourage your dog to catch Wispas and Flakes in the wild (not Quality Streets, though, it's hard to bite through the tins).
The poor dog thought it was a rabbit and discovered it was a nasty habbit
