My dog has a really bad stomach and I’m wondering f he ate a slug or two, of which there are plenty in my garden now unfortunately. Do dogs eat slugs? Is there a way of getting rid of the slugs without harming the dog?

It is quite unusual for a dog to eat a slug, but if you truly believe your dog has, i'd have him checked out by a vet as soon as. Slugs are not, in themselves, dangerous for pets to eat but many of them carry a bug of some sort which can cause lungworm.
I had a black Labrador for 17 years,he would sniff slugs but never ate them, he would also lick frogs and toads but never ate them, the same dog would bring live hedgehog unharmed to my backdoor,I don’t think you’re dogs bad stomach is caused by eating slugs, please let us know what the vet says.
If you think your dog or cat has ate a slug or snail you should be cautious of lungworm
I know this is a serious subject so I won’t say anything about the French, take your dog to the vet ,get him checked over
Love it Jordy ;) :D Enough said..
Just a note of caution.
Avoid leaving any of your dogs toys out in the garden overnight.
When our dog was a puppy he tried to eat just about anything but slugs. Toadstools were a favourite, elastic bands left by postmen another favourite but not slugs
Could you please let us know how you got on,is your dog any better?did you take your dog to the vet?
