We have a bluebottle infestation from a dead rodent under the house somwhere.
Is there a simple way to kill thm off - do electronic fly killer plug ins work on them or is that for mosquitoes/moths only?
PLEASE help - theyre driving us crazy.

If you are referring to the light / zap machines, I believe they work for most flying insects which are attracted to the light.
Good luck with the flies. I think you may be stuck putting up with them until they've all left. I have a full sized electric fly killer and it works on those daft enough to get into the kitchen. Get what you pay for, I reckon. But I'm informed that electrocuted flies can explode bits in all directions, so have a care where you site them. The sticky catchers may be a more hygienic alternative.
A good old skoosh of the fly spray through the airbricks will deal with the current batch, repeat as required for the duration.
Can you not locate the rodent and remove it?
Might necessitate removal of carpets/floorboards ?
If you succeed in killing the flies there will soon be more, meanwhile the dead rodent will stink to high heaven for longer. If you can't remove the rodent, I would put up with the flies for a few days, better then stinking the place out.

The electronic 'high frequency' insect repellent things do not work.
The zappers with a blue light do and you can use the deceased victims to improve the appearance of any fruit cake you may make in the future.
Hi there, did you sort out the problem trixilator? We now have loads of flies, however nothing is smelling so not sure why. What did you do?
