Frontline isn't great in my opinion. Stronghold I believe is the best, covers fleas and some worms. Isn't cheap and is prescription only but is available at all vets as far as I'm aware. Our roaming Tom has been flea free ever since.
I use advocat on Eric and I think it's brilliant.
Yes, definitely. I was talking to a vet a while ago and he said that fleas are immune to Frontline in most of the western world. I use Advocate for cats and it`s much more effective from what I can see.
I use Advocate and find it faultless. The fact that you now seem to be able to buy frontline anywhere - supermarket, chemists, hairdressers (that's a joke) suggests that it's no longer chosen by vets.
Your cat's fleas have become immune to it puss. Advocate is the best followed closely by Stronghold. You will need to get either from a vet.

Right that's it, Frontline is finished, I will take all your advice and go for Advocate or Stronghold. Thanks for advice.
Advocate has been great for my dog, not cheap, works well......x
They all work by essentially poisoning fleas that end up on your cat, the affect is quick but not instantaneous so depending on timing you might still find a flea alive.
We use non prescription version of advocate which is called advantage, this doesn't treat worms though (unlike advocate).

Our vet also said not to bother with frontline
Frontline used to be great, but i found it got less effective over the years. I tried Advantage last time- and it didn't seem to work properly. I'll get Advocate now.
I've been using Advantage for a while with no complaints...and no prescription needed.
