and three pouches of gourmet perle a day (with unlimited clean water) but always seems hungry. He's wormed every three months. Am I not giving him enough food?

That seems OK but is he losing weight at all? It could be a Thyroid problem. My cat got ravenous, ate loads, but was losing weight.
Our two terrors vary wildly, contingent upon mood, but average about three and a half to four sachets a day, plus treats. Dreamies really are cat cocaine. Max is well built while his sister is quite petitie, so they defintely arent' overfed.

He's very thin, lady, but has been for years.
My cats bowl is always full. He cries if it isn't, even when he's not hungry.

At 16 I would feed on demand.
I actually thought that was quite a lot of food. My 2 cats get their biscuit bowl topped up during the day and 2 sachets of meat each a day.

Well, I think it's a lot of food too. Think I'll get him down to the vets & see if there is a thyroid problem. Thanks for all your comments.
He should be getting Senior food at his age lardhelmet, it has less protein I believe. If he was my cat I would have him checked out at the vet for Hyperthyroidism. You might be able to tell f his glands are swollen by feeling for lumps either side of his neck.
bowl is full of dry food...

I feed him raw meat, fish, peas and tomato sauce...he loves tomato sauce.
Good. Hopefully there won't be a problem but as they age it's one thing or another, kidneys failing usually. BTW mine is 20 this year and she eats 4 sachets a day, well licks the jelly off. But I feed her big juicy prawns/chicken/beef/cheese all of which she shouldn't have but at her age ....
Let us know how you get on won't you.
Seems a lot - maybe he is just getting senile and has forgotten he has already eaten - I have an old dog like that. Most cats I know get a pouch night and morning and biscuits ad lib.
could be diabetis ours got very thin and was starving all the time, once it was under control he regained weight and went back to eating normally
