Any Idea How To Get Ink Of Vinyl

Hi there my adorable little kitten (not in my good books!!) has taken a pen that was leaking and ran all over the the bathroom vinyl with it, it is covered in ink stains and I cant get it off any idea what will get ink off vinyl or am I just going to have to replace it?? I will forgive her seeking it is Christmas.

Is it biro or gel-pen ink?
Household ammonia, leave it on a minute or two wipe away then clean with a warm soapy cloth and rinse, or regular white toothpaste, or acetone nail polish remover check on a hidden bit for colour fastness, but you should be ok)
