For some strange reason my 2 cats have suddenly started to get up on tops of worktops, dining table, and sideboard etc - infact anything above waist level. I normally find them wherever they are when I come downstairs in the morning, and its driving me mad as firstly, it is unhygenic in the kitchen, and secondly they are leaving hair everywhere - one cat is v long haired. Any idea why they would have started to do this, and how on earth can I stop it. After 6 years it is unlike them. I found on on top of the wine chiller this morning!

Well they aren/t scratching. Mind you, our lounge floor is laminate flooring so that would probably be cool anyway.
lol kiki..daughters must have!! x
You've not got anything plugged in like a spider zapper have you that could be bothering them? Not sure if cats can pick up on stuff like that but they can pick up on all sorts!

My two, well, one now, have always liked being high up, they love the top of my fabric wardrobe and I dread having to get up and hoover it. Similarly with the top of the very high kitchen cabinets. One loves coming up for a cuddle on my shoulder when I'm stood up, seems to like looking around, similarly with looking out of windows, maybe as they can see more with being so small themselves and with how nosy cats are.

Hi jenna - I really am baffled by it. They are leaving footprints everywhere lol. All I can do is keep shooing them off I guess!
