Christy, most animals fur responds well to extra fat in their diet.  You can give Miffy about 1/2 teaspoon bacon grease with her cat food to start.  Don't use any more than that for about 3 to five days.  After the time you can begin to give her about 1 teaspoon per feeding.  It makes my dogs coats noticably shinier. You can certainly use other oils, such as vegetable oils for cooking, but I find they respond well to bacon grease. Additionally, brush her thoroughly with a soft brush at least three times a weekGood luck!

Christy, our cats have always had coats that have been complimented as they were full, shiny and very soft to the touch. The vet has told us it's because the cat has spent so much time outside and spent very little time indoors. I don't know where you live, but where we live we're above the zone of pollution, so that probably helps too.

Hope Miffy does well in his show in July. Best of luck.

i don't know anything about showing cats i'm afraid, but i did once have a short-haired black cat. someone told me to brush bran into her coat to make it shine and then to stroke her with silk. it did work, i don't know why!
