Turn i p
S c ale
Question Author
Thanks Calibax,
I looked at turnip but couldn't see the relationship between the clue and the answer!
Also, if I put scale in it will make my other answer wrong. I have an 'a' not 's'.
My answer, giving me the 'a' is: noxious weed: rhubarb. The full clue is: Head turns up and impound our noxious weed.

Thanks
Ann
turnip
turn = go (have a go)
one= i
back of shop = p (back =last letter)
Question Author
Thanks chelle,
That's one down.

Ann
If rhubarb is incorrect, what letters do you have placed for that clue?
Noxious weed might be Soursob
BOSS (head) reversed (turns up) about OUR
I can't see why rhubarb might be the answer.
What letters do you now have assuming scale is right (which i'm sure it is)
well done calibax, got as far as ?ours??, but never heard of Soursob!
Question Author
Chelle you're right, rhubarb is wrong.
Calibax is right! It's soursob.

Thanks to you both.

factor30, I put into Google: Noxious weed, rhubarb and came up with: Turkey Rhubarb which is, as described, a noxious weed.
