Bought some frontline for my Springer...he's around 21kg so we used the one for 20-40kg dogs.

Put the first lot on him around the 20th aug. A week later, we're still getting fleas from him. Decided to do him again on 11th sept and today (15th), he's still got bloody fleas !!!!!!

Went to the shop i bought it from (cost £30 !!!!!) and they said that fleas were getting an immunity to it and i should have the whole house treated.

HELP !!!!

HALLELUJAH. I've been telling people on here for months not to use it as, as you say, fleas are now immune to it. Really sorry you've had to find out the hard and expensive way hammerman. You'll need to get a spray from your VET, of say Genetrix which is expensive but works to get rid of the fleas in your home. You will have to spray it everywhere, a few times, over 2/3 weeks before you can be sure you have god rid of them all plus their eggs. For your dog you need Advocate from your vet which is excellent. It's going to be a nightmare for a while I'm afraid, I know, it happened to me and my neighbour. Just google FL being ineffective and you will see the truth. X
I had the same problem with my cats. Had to spray the house and fortunately the problem was solved by changing the cats' flea treatment. I know that a lot of people have been having the same trouble with Frontline
I agree...you need to spray the house also. And vacuum, vacuum, vacuum.
RIP spray is excellent as is Indorex. You can get both online a lot cheaper.
We have been having the same problem. Used Frontline on the two dogs and the cats. Absolutely useless. Ended up having to get people in to spray the house (they said it would take 10 days to work ), now on the 10th day and fingers crossed the house is clear. Will give the others mentioned a try, cannot go through all that again. Which one would you suggest as being better than others?
We use Stronghold on the cats, it covers worms as well, I've had no flea problems using that medication. Not cheap, but well worth it.
I use Stronghold on the cat now and it seems to be working so far.
Frontline spray only available by prescription is far more effective, and you are wasting your money if you dont treat the whole house at the same time.
