starting puppy classes tomorrow, but have a question. 2 neutered males in house already; bitch puppy. She relentlessly plays with them despite pretty clear signals from them to shove off. When they get really annoyed they try and mount her. husband wants to stop them doing this, but i see it as their last line of defence. D'ya reckon it's ok to let them do it?

I'd think they were showing dominance and that it's best just to leave them to sort out their own hierarchy
Question Author
ha! it's very clear where the hierarchy lies already
Mounting in this case is just letting her know who's boss/pack leader. We dont allow any kind of dominance type behavior from our dogs, the humans in the house are pack leaders and dominant not the dogs..

my husband deffo the pack leader, followed by puppy, big dog, middle dog, cat, me!

for crying in a bucket - you have two neutered males with a sassy bitch - the boys are being gentlemen cos they are not sure (memories are so sweet!) - she is a tart and is egging them on - what would you do!

no worries - use my thread for your affair if you want :)
If anyone is interested i got this response from the puppy trainer:

You really need to intervene and get her playing and interacting with you rather than annoying your boys. They are being really polite putting up with her at the moment as they are but it isn't fair on them at all. Other dogs might not be quite so polite with her, so its not good learning for her either. If she doesnt leave them alone and wont play with you then separate them.
