I've just heard about this on the news, just look at this clip, if it's true it's hideous, and I hope they can identify this cruel, horrible woman and prosecute . The poor cat was in the wheelie bin for 15 hours according to the news report - just imagine what would have happened if it was dustbin day.
I'm curious, though, how this came to be captured on CCTV - do you think it's true? Media URL: http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/ladslounge/2010/08/woman-throws-cat-into-wheelie.html

Before anyone asks: No, it wasn't me.....
Wind up or no, it is terrible. Can't believe no-one heard the poor thing, even on a roadside. I could wear out the swear filter if I start.
Made me sick to my stomach to see that anyone could do this. Hope they find out who she is. There are lots of cruel things happens to animals which don't bear thinking about. I had to have my lovely golden lab put to sleep a year ago and I still feel guilty having to do this but I just have to keep telling myself I could not allow him to suffer as he had had a good life.Hope she gets prosecuted.
Indeed wendilla - it was pathetic the way the young cat went to her for a fuss and look how she treated it. Evil, pure evil
a great big tick for cctv cameras then.
Oh, cripes ... I knew Mums would get caught one day.

I'll have a word with her.

I just wish she wouldn't go out in those ghastly brown slacks.
That's how I can prove it wasn;t me JJ - the greying hair and brown slacks......
I know where there is a skip with a padlock if anyone will give me a hand throwing her into it!
I am sure this person will get what they deserve eventually...what goes around, comes around.
All of our council's commercial wheelie bins ... out the back of bars and shops ... have signs on them warning people not to go to sleep in them.

Does that happen everywhere? or is it only here that revellers have a tendency to go to sleep in wheelie bins?

Maybe that's the problem. That lady might have seen a wheelie bin as a perfectly normal place to have a nap. (a cat nap, ha ha)
Apparently she's been caught now:

Saw this yesterday and tried to put in out of my mind. :o(. Glad they got her and would agree with Chuck^
Glad you found it funny Jayne.
Not a thread for joking on, agree BOO.
I saw this yesterday - evil cow - I'd like to shove her in the wheelie bin, head first.
Jayne....sometimes you need to think before you type...
What a miserable excuse for a human being...someone should throw her in a bin for 15 hours.
And jj-there's a time and place for everything....your timing is off.
