Well, make sure you read up about them as much as you can. There is heaps of info on the Net. They are a lifelong commitment and will quickly develop bad habits such as plucking or screaming if you don't spend enough time with them EVERY day. In many way, a large parrot needs more looking after than a child. Consider things such as holidays... do you have someone in mind who can also bond with it and look after it?

If you do get a pair they will keep each other company but won't be so responsive to humans.
do you mean adopt as in get from a rescue organisation or purchase as in get from a commercial enterprise?

I have kept greys for over 10 years. Think i know what they need. I am looking to take one or two on that have to be rehomed cheers will
It would have helped to state that. We are not physic you know, although some here would have us believe they are.

So what is the point of your question? Are you asking if someone would give you one or a pair of African Greys?
