Is this normal.I`m sure my Cocker thinks shes a cat.I`ve got two cats and the dog tends to copy them. She sleeps on the back of the sofa like the cats do(until we spot her),she goes in and out via the cat flap, now shes eating grass.I know cats do it to bring up hair balls but dogs?

rasmus; my dog does it too. i was told by a vet that they do it when they've got an upset stomach.
My dog used to eat grass because he liked it. I would have thought it was pretty tasteless and hard to digest - but he loved it.

Thanks Kyra,i`ll keep that in mind next time she does it.
I dont think you have anything to worry about. I have a 1 year old cocker spaniel and he also likesjumping onto the back of the sofa and eating weeds, grass etc.
Don't worry, rasmus, my dogs eat grass, too. Sometimes they throw up afterwards, but it doesn't do them any harm. As kyra says, they often do it if they've got an upset stomach, or have eaten something thay don't like.
dogs eat grass when they feel sick because it helps them to physically be sick
I think dogs eat grass even if they don't feel sick - they justlike it.
Dogs aren't completely carnivorous (think scraps!) so they need a variety. Don't worry about it, it's normal behaviour.
