I still have some flea treatment (advocate) I got from the vets in early 2019. Would it still be viable/safe to use on my adult cat? Thanks...

Some useful material here - sounds as though it may be OK (one person's vet allegedly said not harmful) but not necessarily still effective. Your choice https://www.petforums.co.uk/threads/out-of-date-flea-treatment.432632/

The expiration date should be on the sachet

there is no expiration date on the sachet. The sticky label from the vet says Expiration Date: on it but there is no date next to it.
Should be on the sachet somewhere not on the label.

I'd call the vets and ask.
Though of course the cynic in me says they will want to sell you new.

Thanks Canary42 seems that it would probably not be harmful but that it possibly may not be as effective....I'll err on the side of caution and invest in some new treatment. Thanks to all those who replied - Sid.
This is the datasheet - section 6.3 states a shelf life of 3 years so you would need to check the date of dispensing.
