Shirley I've got 2 watching me when I have my sexton blake in front of the roger! One of them I can chuck a bit up in the air and he's caught it eaten it and forgotten about in milli seconds. The other one I'll offer it to him he'll sniff it and occasionally do me the favour of eating it!

TTT you may have read of the trouble I have getting my little rescue terrier to eat. Won't eat dog food, any dog food, at all. Only what I'm eating if he happens to feel like it. The vet told me he will eat the dog food eventually as no dog will let itself starve when there is food there to be had but I give in after 2.5 days of him eating nothing and staring at me with his big soulful eyes.

BS does Jill eat the same food every day then, perhaps different flavours of the same brand?
Would you, or did you, spoil a child in such a way? :-)

If your post is addressed to me Atheist, I never had to. All my children except one ,when I served sprouts, would clean their plates. He and I came to a compromise that if I put only two on his plate and he ate them he could have pudding. If not, no pudding. I got him to eat the sprouts first and get it over so it didn't spoil all his meal. Funny thing is he eats them now.
Sorry ladybirder, it was addressed to you.
I guess you give your dog more leeway than your children. I understand that; you can't explain to him/her why you are being strict for his/her own good.

True Atheist. As for our dogs, If Only They Could Talk;-)
Sorry lb, I've only just seen your question. Jill has chicken most days which she loves. but two days a week for a change I buy her Lily's Kitchen dog food, usually the Sunday lunch option ! They had sold out of all the meat ones that one and only time I tried her on the vegetarian option (what possessed me ?) and she point blank refused it ! I'll admit I don't subscribe to letting a dog have nothing if it won't eat what's placed in front of it. I'd rather it was happy and had a good feed of what it enjoyed. Jill can have whatever she wants at meal times and if that makes her 'spoilt' (Atheist), so be it !!
