Hi. Can someone advise me about water loss from my aquarium. There is no visible signs of leakage yet top it up by approx 1 litre every three or so days. Always keep it to same level as marked on lid that's how I know it is reducing. Thanks.. Steve

Are you blowing air through the water to oxygenate it? If so, the air will collect water vapour as it passes through and then ventilate it to the atmosphere.

Evaporation, maybe? Though 1/3 of a litre per day seems quite a lot.

That is what my brother said when I asked him. It is not leaking as it is stood on a light brown top and discoloration would surely be seen on it.
Could the fish be drinking it?
Remember you have a heater going 24hours a day and then you have aquarium lights. Add to that the heat in your room.

How long are your lights on for?

Hi Tuvok. The recommended 10hrs approx.

Hi bhg481. Think that's the answer because I have power filter with ventura system. Ventura is only activated for about 8hrs but that would account for it. Thanks
