Hi all,

Am starting a new regime with my hyper-allergic little westie.

Vet has recommended Eukanuba Dermatosis food, which is fine and worth a shot. Problem is, she loves her little treats and I can't bear to cut her off completely, so, do any of you know of a treat I can give her that won't spoil the good work of her new food?
Advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Funny 'cos I was told not to feed my westie Eukanuba, which is why he is on Burns.

Thanks lankeela, I'll look into that.

It's a food trial, craft. Will see how she gets on on Eukanuba, but will change to something else if this doesn't help her problem.
Make your own, thats how we avoid such issues, that way you control what goes into it.
I would suppose it would all depend on what your dog is allergic to really... this is a firm favourite of mine...

Lankeels....did you know your link is for a site in the US?
My westies 1 which had bad food allergies, (and had bold patches) had carrot and banana for treats first of all until we worked out what foods were irritating her, once you get your dog on a good hypo diet, it takes 6 weeks for the allergies to subside, it is a long process, I would advise not to add any different foods apart from banana or carrot until that time. You can also give 1 citrazine tablet which will help with itching aka piriton daily.
