Hopefully, she will find a good home now. I get so angry!!
pop along to your local shelter Lottie, there'll be loads of other dogs in them with equally sad beginnings in life.

Now that one's been in the papers the shelter she's in will be inundated with offers.
What a lovely dog, how could anyone abandon it.

Unfortunately, BOO, we are down to one dog and one cat. All our animals over the years have been rescued, several of them with really bad histories and awful problems. My Meggie dog is now getting quite old and isn't a lover of other dogs, so it wouldn't be fair on her to bring in another one - also we are both retired now and have to tighten our belts.

If I could I would rescue all the ill treated, abandoned, ugly and ill dogs, cats (and others) I came across.
agree boo

off topic completely but charities such as pdsa and dogs trust are often loaded with greedy breeders out to make a quick buck with no concern for the welfare of the animals.

I still do a bit of volunteer home visiting for Doggy Rescue!!! (To see if homes and owners are suitable)

Dreadful isn't it Ronnie how animals are used and abused.
"My Meggie dog is now getting quite old and isn't a lover of other dogs, so it wouldn't be fair on her to bring in another one - also we are both retired now and have to tighten our belts."

So in reality then, if you lived in Leeds, you couldn't offer the puppy a home anyway?

;-)
But yes agree, i sometimes get really upset of the levels of animal cruelty an neglect we see and hear about.
This story was one of the breakfast programmes, and they were inundated with offers of a home.
*on one...
One of our rescue dogs went to a new home tonight, lovely family with two young girls who are arguing over whose bed he will sleep on! Think he might have fallen on his feet....

That's just lovely Lankeela.
I used to foster animals for Dogs Trust at Eccup, brilliant place.
ladybirder its been a long time since i was in eccup, are they still based there?

in regards to my previous post dogs trust or ncdl as they were known at the time kept hold of a family loved pet when the rspca would of put him down
ronnie I don't live in North Yorkshire any more so don't have anything to do with them now but I do know they moved a few years back. They are still near their old place at Eccup as they didn't move very far. Not sure why they moved, perhaps they needed more space, or maybe their lease was up.
Aww the poor thing, hope they find a brilliant home. You'd think someone would track the heartless person who abandoned the poor thing, being quite identifiable, and take action against them.

All my cats have been rescue cats, older cats who are less likely to be rescued than the cute kittens and need some more love and patience with their issues. Wouldn't have it any other way. Breaks my heart the way some people can treat animals.
Beautiful little thing, how can anyone hurt a puppy (just a baby really). I'm pretty certian she'll get a good home now, little thing xxx

There was also a young dog in the DM recently who was tortured and as a final act of torture they pulled her tounge as far out of her mouth as they could and wound tape tightly around her muzzle. When spotted her tounge was grotesquely swollen. Thankfully she was caught and is being looked after at an animal charity where she is recovering. This was in USA and the people in the area are so ANGRY, even the Sheriff, that they are going all out to find the beast who did this. On top of it all she had just had pups, so heaven help them too. The world is full of monsters.
Jeez chapta that is so awful it has made me feel ill. How did she manage to breathe and swallow in that condition. What a hideously cruel thing to think up, to do to an animal. It makes you despair. At least she's now away from the scum that did that to her.
She was close to death when they found her lady and severely dehydrated, apparently the tounge would swell up quickly in those circumstances so she probably hadn't been in that condition for long. You should have seen the photos of her, I just cried and cried. THANK GOD she is safe now and loads of people are clamouring to give her a home.
