Anyone seen the recent Coors ads on TV?  They consist of various images of people undertaking sporting activities & then going for a beer.

I suspect I'm wrong but I always thought that advertisers weren't supposed to make a direct association between alcohol (& smoking) with sporting activities.  (I'm refering to adverts rather than sponsorship).  Can anyone confirm this either way?

I think the rule is that they can't show alcohol as being associated with being 'cool' / successful with the opposite sex, and similar, so i guess doing sport falls outside the perameter.

plus isn't it a low carb beer, hence they are trying to attract those protein-only eating loons who also want a tasteless beer?
