I have just found out that some people I sort of know are going to be on Jeremy Kyle, the show was filmed earlier this week to be shown in a couple of weeks time,I believe the show is going to be called "My Mother Gave Me Crack!".
I don't know these people well but the girl concerned went to school with my daughters and was a good friend of my niece for a while. The mother is known locally as a smack head and alcoholic.
My question is: why the heck would anyone want to go on this sort of show and tell the nation what scumbags they are? If I had some skeletons in the closet they would stay right there in the hope that nobody would ever find out about them!!! Does the Jeremy Kyle show pay these "guests" to be on or is it just travel and accomodation expenses etc.? I know they get a free bar because one of the people I know apparently got very drunk at this free bar and physically assaulted a DNA expert from the show. Some people should not be allowed to mix with "normal society".

I totally agree with your view, but I would further extend the "scumbag" description to apply to anyone who watches the show. The participants fall into the "I would do anythng (and I do mean anything) to be on TV" category, and the viewers into the "I would watch anything on TV because I have no life or personality of my own" category.
Wouldn't you just hate to be in the company of a JK guest, or maybe worse a viewer, with no means of escape? (At least the guests have some kind of life - albeit a fairly sh!t one!). Or how sad even just to be in the sort of place that these people would choose to go.
People watch it because misery loves company. It makes people feel good and superior about their own lives to see others living like this.
jeremy kyle is totally awful,as a show host,he should have stayed on the radio.
out of sight,out of mind.
he winds them up,,with a bit of stirring thrown in.
and when he says"LOOK AT ME" LOOK AT ME"
i feel like kicking the television.
apparently these"LOWLIFES"stay at the jurys inn hotel,,near the granada studios, which is all payed for.
10%of the show is ok when real people come on and tell us about the people they have lost.
he is a bloody hypocrite,,as his life has not been a bunch of roses.
pot, kettle, black,,,,,,,,,and people in glass houses,,come to mind..

I think I may have watched about 5ish episodes of the programme several years ago and that was enough for me,I found it really cringe-worthy! I will be keeping an eye out for the episode I mentioned above though, the mother of the family concerned is one of the lowest forms of life I have ever had the misfortune to meet,if any of you manage to see the episode you will know exactly what I mean as soon as you see her.Her kids are the sort who would steal from charity shops and old ladies, right little hooligans the lot of them!
I think my question would also be be why would anyone want to watch?
You answered your own question Daffy. They go on these shows because they are scumbags. They get to stay in a cheap Travelodge hotel and can drink the hotel bar dry, all at the expense of that Cockroach Kyle's tacky show.

If there weren't moronic pikies like the many guests on this show, then Kyle wouldn't be afforded the luxurious lifestyle he currently has.
I can tell you that you get your accomodation free, breakfast free, and up to 20 to spend each on your evening meal not including alcoholic drinks. You have to pay for your own booze. I was unfortunate enough to be on this show and so much gets cut out to make him look as if he is helping you dont meet him until u go on stage to be filmed. He is a total hypocrite. Before u ask what i went on for my daughter needed help and asked if i would go on for her to get help. The after show care is 5 mins in a room with other staff coming in and out for drinks they then come in with your cases saying taxis are outside as they lead u out. After show care what a joke.
