I haven't seen it myself, but my brother was asking me if i can find out the name of the artist or the track on the current House of Fraser advert. I asked what sort of music it is and he said its hard to describe but lots of different samples that are all quite different. This made me think it could be just a random collect put together for the add, but he didn't think so. If anyone is in the know a bit of help is much appreciated. Cheers, MrP

Theres a couple of obscure ones here , which have been re-used, with sample options:

Its Tunng, a song from their album 'Comments of the Inner Chorus'. I think the one they used is The Wind Up Bird.
Its a very good album though and I am sure he'd like all of it, if he liked the bit on the advert.

Thanks for the replies guys. Phoemail, thats a pretty well spotted there and its much appreciated, although since i'd never heard of Tunng I had a quick look into it and on their website it says its from a track "out the window with the window" on their first album(?), i was going to buy one, but now i'm not sure which (and i only have about 3 hours till it'd be too late for christmas now, arrrgh). So i was just wondering if you could tell me either which one is better or which album is on the advert for definite (since their website has no year, i'm guessing you could be right and they could be talking about last christmas or something?).

Anyway, what you've already done is much appreciated. Thanks!
the name of the song is -you dont own me by lesley gore
That's part of the 2015 one, yes- was it also on the 2006 ad as this question was dated 2006?
The artist is Grace, You don't own me ,it's on the Now 92 album
Hope this helps
Take care,
Sharron
