Can I apply for an Egg credit card if I've had one before? (It was about 2 or 3 years ago).

You can apply - the worse they can do is say 'no'.

Or 'yes' - depending on your point of view.
presuming your previous account with them was conducted very well and you have had no negative credit accumulation since you first applied with them, then there is no reason for you to be refused - unless their application criteria, or your circumstances, have changed.

Best advice though, try to avoid credit cards (unless you are wanting to take advantage of an interest free period that you can transfer a balance too. In this event, structure your finances so as you can clear the amount, or most of it, within the interest free period.)

Good luck
