Recently cancelled Virgin Broadband,
(Making cuts where possible)...

1) Was told that I would receive a collect + envelope in the post to return hub
2) Received text message to arrange date for hub to be picked up.
3) Arranged date via text.
4) Received message to return hub via collect + or inncur fine.
5) Returned hub after recieving threatening text of fine if I didnt.
6) I now have no way to inform Virgin that hub as been returned via collect + and no way of telling them that an engineer is no longer required to collect it

I fear that they will charge me anyway for non-return of the hub.
Anyone else here been in this predciment?

It appears that they have two different ways of collecting unwanted equipment,
1) by post
2) by technitian

Fail one and they will charge by the other.....
Did you get a receipt from collect+
Can't you go on their live chat or ring them?
Use the Collect+ tracking code to check that the package was delivered:
https://www.collectplus.co.uk/track-a-parcel
(Take screen shot in case you need proof).

Phone Virgin Media Customer Services on 0345 454 1111 to let them know that you've sent the package. (Under Ofcom rules, calls to 03 numbers must be charged at exactly the same rate as those to 01 or 02 numbers, from both landlines and mobiles. If you've got spare 'included minutes' on a mobile phone 'bundle', that means that your call will be free).

Thank Chris,
How do you take a screen shot?
They are very responsive on Twitter.Contact them there.Highly, highly unlikely you will get a fine
On my android 'phone, I put the edge of my hand on one side of the screen so it's touching it at a right angle and drag it across to the other side.

The other option is pressing the off-button and down-volume button at the same time.
>>> How do you take a screen shot?

It depends upon the device that you're using. TCL has largely covered Android devices but, for completeness, I'll offer this link:

On A Windows 10 PC or laptop, go to Start > Windows Accessories > Snipping Tool and click 'New'. Use your mouse to draw a box around the area that you want to copy. Then go to File > Save As, change the file format to jpeg, name your file, choose where you want to save it and click 'Save'.
