Dear AB Team, no doubt you're aware that I have now, boringly, found my tape and the music thereon, but the music is still not being recognised, either by Shazam or SoundHound, so how easy would it be to upload or whatever the term is, to upload a CD with a copy of the music on the CD, to AB and let the whole AB world have a listen and see if anyone can identify it, rather than the restrictive range of Shazam etc. I apologise to All for making such a fuss about a few minutes worth of music, but...!Ta Very Muchly.

why not make it a youtube video then it's easy to post oh here

Pick one. Set up an account. Upload the file. Note the address needed for a web broser to reach it. Put the address here.

This is guesswork as I've not uploaded music but if the account is set for anyone to access then it should be ok.

Maybe check reviews of the site before committing.

Because I haven't a clue how to, Johnny!

Many Thanks OG, but still none the wiser, perhaps I'll ask the bloke who is going to make the copy to CD - or....hmm!...who else now...?
Hi woodelf,

Unfortunately it's not possible to upload audio directly to AB. However, if you're able to upload an audio file to a file hosting service such as Dropbox, or an audio hosting website such as Soundcloud, you could then paste the link on AB so people can listen to it and help you.

Hi AB Editor, I can just imagine loads of ABers rolling about lol as they try to imagine me getting to grips with your suggestion - and quite right too - I'd be first in line to see what an actual techno-duffer looks like!...big smile...I'll get there somehow!
Use your phone to record your tape. Only a short sample.
Then email the resulting audio from your phone to a fellow ABer or ABEd, who knows how to upload it to youtube or soundcloud.

Hi Gromit, this sounds promising, only thing is I asked Siri to record, but it didn't know what I was on about - perhaps I'll have to try different ways of asking - I have an iPhone SE 1OS11- and then I could try and take your suggestion further!...I must have done summat wrong though, it'sa natural gift!
