I realise that Eddie51, but I would sooner burn the furniture than let my family eat where a dog had licked, after it had licked its backside, had its nose on other dogs "wee puddles" and who knows what else. And as for licking peoples faces, thats just beyond words.
I totally agree, i do not see how dog owners let their dogs lick their face or mouth. The dog does not want "kisses" it wants to taste your sweaty salt .
I wouldn't use them, you'll just wreck your immune system whilst being over cleanly, poisoning yourself with all the chemicals you eat off said sparkling surface. Not a great idea to let animals lick food surfaces or your mouth however washing things in a dishwasher is perfectly healthy we don't need everything sterilising all the time.
I have five dogs, I'm never ill, neither are any of my doggy friends, usually our friends who catch everything going are the Dettol mob.
bit OTT lol if i dropped raw chicken on the side i'd use a detol wipe or if a dog pooed on the floor i'd use a detol wipe if i got mud on my hand, i'd either rub it on my trousers or wash it off with just water
I am immune-suppressed so have to be careful with infection. I use antibacterial spray on surfaces and wash my hands before I eat I'd rather take a chance of being poisoned by a spray that's been tested for toxicity than land up in Intensive care with a serious bacterial infection.
Well that's fair enough AL, and I normally do the same because that's just normal hygiene, but there is a proper hysteria about EVERYTHING being sterile, kids aren't supposed to get dirty etc etc etc, I just think it's really detatching us from normal behaviour sometimes x
