I think it should be renamed as Customer Dont Care Dept.
I dont seem to have had Norton Ghost 10 software all that long. It is a genuine boxed copy with Manual bought from Amazon Co uk ( ie not a dodgy EBAY copy).

All of a sudden it prompts for Live Update and then reports "This machine is running a pre-release or Beta version and is not supported"

I reported this fact to Symantec offering to send them the whole package for examination as i know it is genuine and got this

"Please be informed that Symantec no longer provide support for Norton Ghost 10.0. We will not be in position to provide interactive assistance in reinstalling or any technical issues"

Now I am certain I should have bought Acronis True Image ? Anyone else had similar error message ?

Download the Norton Removal Tool and Re-Install.
It is a known fault.
They should have had the courtesy to inform you of that at least.

Ghost 10 is donkeys years old ....2005!!!!! (now on 14!!!)
I'm surprised they even bothered to reply

thing is when you buy from amazon ... it might be genuine software ... but it's withdrawn stock.

the irony is that the amazon price is not much more than the acronis site price for the latest version....

sorry ... not gloating honest ... but I hope you got a good price

I think file it in the "experience" drawer and go acronis
