How can i change the layout of a USB keyboard in windows XP? The current layout doesn't match the layout of the keys on the keyboard, so i press x and i get an e, i press e and i get a %. Any help please, I'm fed up of using the on screen keyboard. Cheers, Wix

If pressing the left hand Alt and Shift together doesn't work you will need to go into the language settings and set it to UK,

Start - control panel - date, time, language and region option - regional and language


Choose UK in the drop down menu

Thanks for the quick answer Ethel but is there a way to change the layout of the buttons individually?
i wish there was. i would have such fun with my work mates
Depends on your keyboard. I can ping mine off and push them back on, but it would make typing very hard if the keys were not where they should be on QWERTY keyboard.
