Ed, can you do anything about the spammer Hama.He keeps posting with his name followed by different numbers.He has been banned several times but just comes back with the same name followed by a different number.

Not if entirely different but you could use a Regular expression to check the id against a list of known ones. Very easy to do.
A very simply one could be (no idea what lang you use so pseudocode)
if $inmailID = substr 'hama"
exit code/send rejection
endif.
I think answerbank likes to get the spammers on the book's a before they ban them.... makes the AB membership seem bigger to potential advertisers and buyers.. It wont suprise me if theres thousands of banned spammers counted in the AB member stats

Thats still easy to do Bobb. When detected (as above) add to database but set to 'pending'. Spawn a process that wakes in 5 mins and sets it to UI.

I was checking to see what number HAMA has reached and it's up to 100 but I noticed there's no profile for HAMA95.

Bobbinwales, that's not the case. Spammers on The AnswerBank are real people with a real email address. There is nothing we can do to stop someone creating an email address and signing up to The AnswerBank.
Do banned folk count toward the stats anyway?
