Why are these users (probably the same person) being allowed to product place/advertise unhindered ?

Isn't that the same person that kept asking Emmie one day what she thought of a certain beer - I did think that was a weird thread

gawd it's like the Truman show!
It is a rather odd thread/conversation.

They both chat to one another , bless, they must be getting paid per brand name they can squeeze into a post, who knows.
Question Author
Pasta there have been similar ones, including one post where I counted around 20 different brands, including an ice-cream chain in US. Quite clever really.
But who pays them?
You'd think they would be more subtle.
I found it read better when I used my Joo Janta 200 peril sensitive sunglasses.

Impressive getting users on line -but we don't get paid lol!
I cannot say it breaks the rules but have you reported it?

Regarding its being "unhindered", are they many similar posts from these members?

As for their being the same folk, what makes you make that claim?

If i does break the rules it was posted in the middle of the night and unless a Mod seen it and thought it broke the rules, it wouldn't be deleted, would it?

Pasta, companies pay people to promote products on forums.

Agencies will pay, sometimes in crypto currencies.

THECORBYLOON of course they are not going to break Site Rules that's the whole point. Marketing through Forums is big business and people are encouraged to 'join in' threads.

It does not bother me, just wondering why it has not been picked up on.
Lol...I remember that one. Maybe ...as a *supposedly* new drinker at 21...he can come across as super keen over new found delights of booze. It can't last...
//it was posted in the middle of the night //

The OP is in the California so not the middle of the night for him.

I think they were just talking about beer.
If they are not breaking the Site Rules, what is your point exactly?
Question Author
Naomi yes they were talking about beer -we got that.

Its an interesting read, how Forums are used as marketing tools. Often a User will 'befriend' some of the popular and/or regular posters to make themselves look more legitimate.
Question Author
THECORBYLOON I am not making a point. I am asking a question, as written in the OP, 'Why are they being allowed to get away with blatant product placement'?

I can't really be clearer than that.
It was the middle of the night here and I would have thought most of the Mods would have been asleep.
APG, I know you 'got that'. What I don't know is why you're accusing someone of something shifty on the strength of a chat about beer.
A poster using two different accounts to talk to themselves?

You'd seriously have to have a screw loose to do that...
The "allowed to get away with" suggests they are doing something contrary to or breaking the Site Rules and you have already said they are not.

Have you reported it or no?
If you haven't, I suggest you do and leave it to the EDs.
