Been a member for many months but not been allowed to add photo. What can I do? My edit account says I can add gravitar in 171 days, but this number increases each day and I dont know what a gravitar is or how to create one

Gravatar is an avatar-hosting service, that's now part of Wordpress. (So you need to sign up for a Wordpress account). Once you've signed up, you can upload your chosen avatar to the Gravatar/Wordpress website. When AB's server displays pages here, it contacts Gravatar/Wordpress to see if there's an avatar registered to the same email address as a user...

That's why she should check her addresses in Wordpress to make sure that's not the problem.

that's the problem Bazile had last week. I don't know how it was solved, but it was. If it shows up on one place in AB but not another, that suggests the problem is with the site, not with Gravatar.

I go along with jno and consider it an AB problem.

Even more of a phenomenon is that new entrants to AB (particularly those who are endeavouring to advertise) can, on their very first posting, have an avatar in their Profile but Not in their thread.

That's not an AB fault though, as I said on page 1 - if you have a wordpress/gravatar avatar it follows your email around wherever you psost.
