I am trying to sell an item on E-Bay, but the page keeps freezing.

It allows me to type one letter of my description, and it either sits there doing nothing, or it tells me it is 'not responding due to a long-running script' - but doesn't tell me how to fix that.

I have closed down everything else except this one action - can anyone advise please?

A 'long-running script' is theoretically a problem 'at the other end' (i.e. on eBay's server) that you're unable to do anything about yourself.

However, in practice (and with such a well-designed site as eBay), it's far more likely that your browser is mis-reading the data that it's receiving. If you've not already cleared the cache in Edge (as per your other thread), then do so. If that doesn't fix the problem, then reset Edge:

In the meantime though, you should still be able to access eBay normally simply by switching to a different browser. Much as I dislike Internet Explorer, it does have the convenience of already being present on your computer (saving you from having to download and install anything), so you could use that. Alternatively try Chrome or Firefox.

Thanks Chris - am using Firefox for eBay, seems to have solved the issue.

Many thanks as always.
