This was requested on March 18...over a month ago, by apg. No action was taken, and in the meantime we've been absolutely overrun with threads. Frankly, it's depressing to come across gloom, doom, conspiracy, and endless analysis of the rights and wrongs of how it's being handled. We need escapism and lightheartedness. Please can all the Covid threads be put in one place, so we might avoid if desired. Thank you.

Seconded.

I agree with that. Create sort of a large sand-pit where all the so-called experts and blamers and theorists and so on can play amongst each other.
Well said a Pasta , we follow it on tv etc but a bit of light hearted banter would not go amiss on here right now
it's called current affairs
News seems the right place to me. Chatterbank is the wrong place.
its a bit like brexit in a way. there wasnt just one brexit thread
A new category is needed, can't be that difficult Ed.
Apc
Do you mean a dedicated thread or a new category?
I preferred Brexit to all this Covid stuff.
It might appear to be easy to create a new category but that doesn't mean it is and there might be a lot of changes needed behind the scenes.
If folk don't want to read the posts, they don't need to, do they?
People don't like using the correct category as it is and some hate the 'sub categories' because it means an extra click.
THECORBYLOON I don't know if your question was to me or pasta, but I think there should be a new category where people can ask questions just about that. When all this is over, I'm sure that category could then be removed.

Ahhh...sorry Apc. Xx I was going to link to your thread, but lost it.

I was thinking a sticky in news.
Forget any other sub categories...no one looks at them.
Mamya, sometimes it can be difficult knowing which category to choose and I agree about the sub categories but I think a new category dedicated to questions and articles would work well.

THE CORBYLOON...there are times I really don't want to SEE the threads. Hence the desire to corral them all together.
If we can have a Seasonal one at Christmas, then why nota This is Corvid one
