Can you please not print the British Broadcasting Corporation as Bbc when it should all be written in capitals? I'm a pedant where the English language is concerned and it aggravates me!

You're not getting a friendly ear with this one are you Juniper? ;-) I agree it looks scrappy when proper acronyms come out like that.

read this sentence bobbi: "I'm a pedant where the English language is concerned and it aggravates me! " - so the Op has unintentionally said that she is aggravated by the English Language. I don't think that was the intention.
//Consider replacing "It" with "it's misuse" in your sentence above.\\

No, 'its' misuse, not it's. The misuse of the two aggravate me!
Arh well, still over my head I'm afraid
BBC is not, strictly speaking, an acronym. Examples of acronyms are:
NATO, OPEC, NASA, DIY. Terms such as BBC, FBI etc. are called "initialisms"; however, as is common nowadays, common-usage is slowly blurring the difference. And yes, it would be preferable to see BBC rather than Bbc.
BBC is an abbreviation.
Buenchico made a big deal of BBC not being an acronym.

I never used the term BBC in my reply.
As has been indicated, an acronym forms a word you can pronounce. BBC does not fall into this category.
Yeah Dame Allan's wins :0)
Oops 'Allen's is it Jack?
In case anyone is wondering, Dame Allan's was my old school.
And a very exclusive school it is too Jack x
DIY is not an acronym.
The beeb everybody knows.
I'm just at the end of my tether, I need a lay down after reading this or a brandy. Think I'll do both.
It was the finest Interpretive Dance school in Gateshead, Bobbie.
Me too TC, I'm having a wee cheeky vodka , lol
Wrong Spicy, it's in a upmarket part of Newcastle lol
I just like the thought of JD prancing about in his leotard.
Bobbs, I would take the bloody bottle to bed with ya.
Dame Allan's is not in Gateshead. It is in Newcastle, other side of the water.
