is there a problem with the search box on ab? every time i try to do a search ab freezes and i have to log out and in again

Of course I had to try and it's happened to me too! Separately but oddly for years when I go to the searchbox it has always come up with the suggestion 'Mollykins' underneath. I have cleared my cache several times over the years but that remains. Quite an accolade for her :-)

Site is fast enough for me but I do miss the search facility - so useful for referring people to previous threads/answers.

Depending on how the site back-end is built, this is highly symptomatic of corrupt / missing indexing.

Simply use a normal Google search, adding 'site:theanswerbank.co.uk' to your search string.

It must be hard if folk want to see if there's already a question about Brexit or no...

Brexit questions are two-a-penny, TCL. It's Brexit answers that seem to be elusive ;-)
