As I’ve just asked a reasonable question asking about my thread, is there any chance it’ll get answered or is it just spite from an over zealous Mod?

Just asking because if this is deleted too you can consider it my last post on the site, just wanted a scintilla if common decency and manners, not much to ask.

A 'Removed Thread' thread will, itself, get removed.

I can only think your TdF thread was removed because of the huge spoiler it contained.
There may well be people whp want to watch the events unfold on their screen.........
.......and whatever response you want to make about the information being available elsewhere is redundent because that argument has been had many times on this site.

It wasn't a contentious thread though, it was about the Tour de France, I initially assumed it was a mistake.

Was just hoping for some explanation or reason/rationale.

I saw your question, Chilldoubt, & saw your related one about it being a “spoiler”. I was amazed to see that it had been deleted with no explanation, as even I, who am not at all into sports had already heard on BBC radio 4 who the winner - barring extraordinary events tomorrow - was. Perhaps the overzealous mod will reconsider & reinstate it.

I am not a sports fan but can see the point of view of those who are.

For what it's worth, I think the deletion of your post was wrong - because I think that this is a section where deletions can be discussed - but nowhere else on the site.

Hopefully my fellow Mods will leave this post up - I suggest you mail the Ed about your query.

Of course we would......but it would have been better to have titled it something like "World Cup Winners" and then it could have been avoided by those who wanted to see the result in their own time.
