Links to the Sub Categories rarely appear when you click on View all Categories Button. Seems to be an AB system fault.
Our PC is Windows 10.

Did you click on the + sign on the right-hand side?
Aren't sub categories under the + button when you click on it?

The + signs do not appear unfortunately, elliemay1
sometimes, just sometimes, the + sign doesn't appear.

We're on Windows 7.
I thought the sub categories were going.

They should be.
That's strange, they appear on my screen to the right on a grey background.
Quite a few people have trouble with this, some say refreshing the page makes them appear.

On ipads, it's sometimes the way the screen is oriented.

Most main topics do have a link to sub topics in their headers if that helps at all.
Not every category (e.g. adverts, how it works, jokes) has a Sub Category hence no + on a grey background.
It would appear that many of the sub categories are now redundant and a reassessment seems to be prudent.

The Tech Team at AB should take a look at the problem. as there is no Grey Box or + sign appearing next to any of the Main Categories
Have you tried refreshing?, sometimes the search box doesn't appear, but clicking on the refresh button brings it up.

We have tried all sorts, dannyk13, to no avail.....
Let's hope Ed can sort it for you.
Like a shop failing to display its wares in the window, by hiding categories AB hides its potential and loses sales. Just list all the categories openly.
Wondered what Rowan was going on about as I've never had that problem; so just went to 'View all categories' and not as + sign anywhere to be seen.
However a quick F5 (refresh) sorted it out.
On my laptop the crosses and subcategories have always appeared when i've looked for them but oddly today they didn't appear until after I logged in to my account,

Anyway, I agree subcategories should go. They add no value a sfar as I can see. The only one I can see a case for keeping is R&S which can get lost in S&C- I think R&S could be a section on its own (or maybe replace S&C).
R&S should become a main category but I think S&C should stay. Quite a lot that ends up in News these days would be more appropriately placed in S&C.
Following Captain's Comment @ 15:46, I found that the + display for sub categories seem to appear or disappear alternately after each press of the F5 key.
