Does it sound normal?

I was limited in only learning about Islam and nothing else.

it's okay; maybe "learning only about Islam" would be a little clearer (if that's what you meant to say)
Normal?....yes.
Makes sense?....yes.
I was restricted to learning about only Islam ... ?
but yes..quite acceptable
While its ok...there is some unclarity I think....You might be saying that because you only learned about Islam, there is a gap in your knowledge which limited you in some way. You might be saying that someone or circumstances set this limit on you. In either case, you might be saying that Islam is the only religion that you learned about; but the "and nothing else" could also indicate that you had no other studies at all....no maths, art, languages....nothing.
